Introduction to HTML
Why do we need HTML?
We need some common way of telling web browsers what to show on the screen. It would not be very practical to have to write seperate web pages for every popular web browser. In that way HTML acts as a standard.
That's not to say that HTML, originally designed for static pages, in any way is optimal for modern dynamic and interactive web pages. But there aren't any good alternatives available yet, so we use what've got.
